General Dentistry

Providing comprehensive, general dentistry for many years, Dr. Kyle R. Chambers and our team offer a variety of general dentistry services for adults and children that include preventive and restorative procedures, which repair and patients’ teeth from damage and decay and protect gums from periodontal disease.

A patient’s first line of defense from developing oral health conditions involves visiting our office for routine cleanings and examinations. The tools used during a professional dental cleaning are the only way to remove hardened calculus deposits, commonly called tartar. When tartar collects on teeth and along the gum line, it can lead to developing gum disease and tooth loss. During dental cleanings, our dental hygienists will look closely for signs of gum disease by measuring the spaces between teeth and periodontal pockets. If treated early on, gum disease is reversible. Using the latest technology including digital radiography, dental examinations involve assessing a patient’s overall oral health. Examinations can reveal dental caries, jawbone deterioration, and oral cancer.

Restorative Procedures

When restorative procedures are necessary, Dr. Chambers takes a thorough approach to improving a patient’s oral health. For small areas of tooth decay, amalgam (silver) and composite resin (tooth-colored) fillings are available. Fillings are placed in one office visit and are a conservative approach to preserving as much of a patient’s tooth as possible while removing the threat of further decay.

For severely damaged teeth, root canal therapy and placing dental crowns may be needed to fully restore a patient’s oral health. These restorative procedures allow Dr. Chambers to clean away all signs of infection related to decay, restore teeth to their proper size and shape, and save teeth from extraction.

When teeth cannot be saved, natural-looking prosthetics such as dentures and bridges are used to replace missing teeth so that patients can eat and speak properly and smile with confidence.

With a gentle touch and state-of-the-art equipment, patients of all ages can enjoy renewed dental health that even improves the appearance of teeth. To reserve your appointment with our professional, friendly team, call our office today.
